Flood damage claim denial

Told the council his home at 1311 Cherry flooded when sewage backed into his basement and pool — the pool is now demolished — and argued repeated city work on the sewer line showed a known problem. He plans to pursue the claim in District Court.

Said runoff from Lawton High's new athletic fields sent about two feet of water into their backyard versus six inches in past storms, and questioned the missing construction permit and lack of a drainage study.
