Zoning ordinance amendment notice failure
The commission's first attempt to amend the new zoning ordinance hit a snag — staff wasn't confident the public notice was published correctly, so the item was tabled. That means any zoning change waits until proper legal notice runs.
Data center zoning standards
The data center study group is still researching how other cities regulate data centers, and staff will ask the council in November to extend the six-month moratorium by another six months. City Attorney Trevor Dennis reminded everyone no data center is currently pursuing Broken Arrow.
Creek Line Village Rezoning
A developer wants 178 small-lot homes on 39 acres near County Line Road with 25% open space. Neighbors on 1–2 acre lots fear it clashes with the area and drags down property values; staff says it fits the comprehensive plan, and the Planning Commission voted 3-1 to recommend denial.
